Bethlehem has a big heart for all God's people. Reaching out to people in need in our community is an important part of life here. Some of the ways we serve locally are:
The Bethlehem Mission Committee is sponsoring the Back Pack Ministry for Elementary school students in the local area. Each Friday a child who might not otherwise receive food over the weekend will go home with a backpack filled with food to eat. Sign up now at the church to bring one or more of the items below WEEKLY for the back packs. You may bring enough to cover a month at one time.
FOOD PANTRY: Bethlehem now has a Food Pantry to help folk who need food in our church or community. Please remember to pick up some extra food for the pantry and for Loaves and Fishes in Union County which we still support. If you know of families in need, please share this information with them.Angel Tree Project: Each Christmas, children from Prospect & Western Union Elementary and Parkwood Middle and High are blessed with Christmas gifts from people at Bethlehem. If anyone has questions or would like to help with this mission please call Kim Helms at 704-282-7733. KAIROS PRISON MINISTRY: Men of our church participate in Kairos Prison Weekend Ministry several weekends a year. They join with other men from area churches and go to Kershaw SC Prison to hold Bible Studies, mentor the Christian prisoners and share Christ's love with those who do not know him. Part of this ministry involves giving homemade cookies to each man in prison. Contact Tim Walkup if you are interested in learning more about Kairos.
