Bethlehem Children’s Ministry Coordinator/Director Application

At Bethlehem, our goal is to help children (infant - 5th grade) to encounter Christ, to be given the opportunity to receive Christ and to grow spiritually. We also seek to support and equip the family unit as a whole because we understand that the greatest influence on a child's faith starts at home. We operate under Safe Sanctuary standards, meaning we are diligent about offering a safe environment for children. We conduct background checks on our children’s staff before training.
Position Summary: This person would be responsible for developing and leading formation ministries for children. This includes Sunday morning and evening activities and seasonal events. This position also oversees volunteer recruitment and finances; communicates regularly with children, youth, parents and entire congregation; follows the Church’s Safe Sanctuary Policy; collaborates with the pastor, staff, parents and laity to involve children in Church life.
Compensation: This will begin as a part time position with salary commensurate to experience. The position has potential to become a full time position as the children’s ministry grows.
Qualifications/Background: Applicants should possess the following: Strong work history, commitment, flexibility, planning ability, patience, reliability, willingness to be a team player, self-starter, creativity, budgeting, ability to supervise, and passion for spiritual formation of children. Applicants should be 21 or older and have a strong desire to grow in Christ both personally and through living in intentional community.
